Notes:
Robert Lee Clanton Sr (1887-1971)2 was listed in the 1930 US Census as a pharmacist in Altavista VA.
In 1955, a scholarship at Ferrum Junior College was set up to honor Clanton, who was the founder of a drug store in Altavista. It was set up by Mr C.O. Fore, who was the proprietor of the store at that time.3
Two photos on Ancestry.com show Clanton's son, Robrt Lee Clanton Jr, working at the drugstore. The date of the photos are unknown.
