According to the Bristol Bottles & History web site , John Roby Dickey (1856-1923) ² came to Bristol in 1875 at the age of about 19. For a while he worked at his brother James' City Drug Store. In 1880 he parnered with Dr. Jere Bunting as a druggist, and by 1882 he had his own drug company. After the Pure Food & Drugs Act of June 30th 1906, he renamed his "Old Reliable Eye Water" to "Old Reliable Eye Wash".¹
