G. M. Turner started the Turner Drug Company in 19041.
I've seen a bottle on ebay that was embossed "TURNER DRUG CO / 633 STATE STREET / BRISTOL TENN". That made me assume that the Turner drug store was in Tennessee, not Virginia. But the odd numbered addresses on State Street in Bristol are on the Virginia side, not the Tennessee side, which means that "633 State Street" would be in Virginia. So I don't understand why that bottle said "TENN".
The bottle below is embossed with "BRISTOL" but no state. The Turner Drug company shows up in various Virginia pharmacy directories in the 1910s2,3,4, so I beleive the bottle below is from Virginia. Also, "G.M. Turner" was listed as a registered pharmacist in Bristol VA in 19205.
