I see newspaper mentions of the Cliff Drug Co in Clifton Forge from 1917-1929, so it was in business during and possibly beyond those years.
Dewitt Russell Armentrout (1894-1984)2 was a pharmacist for the Cliff Drug Company3.


(I don't have any bottles from this drug store, but here's what I do have):

cliff_01 This is a 9.25" tin box with hinged top. The label around it says:

cliff_02 A pair of wicker fans that say:
black ink: FAN YOUR TROUBLES / AWAY BY TRADING AT / CLIFF DRUG CO. / PHONE 273 / CLIFTON FORGE< VA.
cliff_03 This is a postcard from circa 1920. It says "RIDGEWAY STREET, LOOKING EAST, CLIFTON FORGE, VA.". The sign on the building on the left says:
