College Park Pharmacy, 2429 Rivermont Ave, College Park VA (1914-1916)
Notes:
The College Park Pharmacy was started in 1914 near Randolph Macon College in
Lynchburg VA2.
The bottle shown below lists the city as "College Park" rather than Lynchburg.
On Nov 27, 1916, the pharmacy was damaged by a fire.3
16-year old Willie Briggs was indicted by a grand jury for starting the
fire. He claimed that he was hired by the proprietor of the store,
Floyd Black, to start the fire. A warrent was issued for Black's
arrest. 4
Black was tried and acquitted at once, so apparently he was innocent.5
