Crittenden's Drug Store, H.V. Crittenden proprietor, Crewe VA (ca.1934-ca.1969) 2,3
  Crittenden's Drug Store, Crewe VA (ca.1969-ca.1977) 3,4
Notes:
Dr. Henry Hold Wilson Crittenden (1844-1903)5 started a drug store in Crewe VA
in 1892.1,2
Before that, he had a drug store in Burkeville VA6.
In 1903, his son
Floyd Newbill Crittenden (1877-1934)2 took over the drug store.2
It appears that all of the artifacts shown below are from the era when Floyd was the proprietor
of the store.
Eventually Floyd's son, Henry Valentine Crittenden (1912-1969)3 took over
the business. Henry died in 1969, and both his sons lived in other states at that time, so I
don't know who took over the drugstore. I saw a newspaper mention of "Crittenden's Drug Store"
from 19774, so apparently it was still in business at that time, and still using
the Crittenden name.
