Jas. F. Robertson

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  Shue & Robertson, Culpeper VA (1876-ca.1880) 1,2
  Jas. F. Robertson, Culpeper VA (ca.1881-18??) 2

Notes:
James F. Robertson (1848-1928)2 was born in Culpeper VA. The 1870 US Census had him working on his father's farm, and the 1880 Census listed him as a druggist living in Stevensburg Virginia, which is in Culpeper county near the city of Culpeper.
The earliest ad for his drugstore I could find was one announcing a new drug store in Culpeper, called "Shue & Robertson", run by Edward R. Shue and J.F. Robertson. 1
The earliest ad I could find for James F. Robertson's drug store without a partner was from 1881.2

I couldn't find any newspaper ads for his drug store after 1882, but I found a newspaper breif in 1886 saying Robertson was appointed postmaster of Culpeper, so he was at least still living in Culpeper at that time. The 1900 Census showed that he had moved to North Carolina. I don't know what year he left Culpeper or what year his drug store closed.
