Winston Drug Co, 333 Main Street, Farmville VA (1895-1914)

Notes:
Dr. Peter Winston (1836-1920) and Mr. Beverly K. Winston) had Farmville drugstores under 3 names (Winston Drug, Winston & Gray, and Winston & Irving, over a span from 1871-1914.1
Dr. Paulus A. Irving (1857-1928) was his partner up until 1892. Note that the 2 men had a 21 year age difference. Irving was bought out by A.T. Gray in 1892, but in 1895 Gray decided to go to Richmond to attend Pharmacy school, so the company name reverted back to just "Winston Drug" again.1
In 1911, Gray returned to Farmville & purchased the store from Winston, but it kept the name "Winston Drug Co" until 1914, during which time Dr. Winston practiced medicine in the same building. In 1914, Gray moved to Petersburg (and then came back to Farmville in 1918 to form his own drug store). 1
