Notes:
Robert Lee Gardner (1870-?)2 took over the drugstore previously owned by D.W. Mahone3.

Gardner apparently went bankrupt in January of 19084, and in February his drugstore was put up for sale5.
But an April 1903 newspaper said he was granted a discharge of his bankruptcy6. I don't know if this means he didn't have to sell his store, or if it means his store was sold and now the bankruptcy punishment was complete.
In any case, he was listed as a druggist again in 1910, but after that he seems to have moved away from Hampton, as a 1911 Norfolk city directory listed him as a druggist in that city.
