John D. Coleman took over the West End Pharmacy in 1933, at a new
location1. The drug store name was referred to as "Coleman's West End Pharmacy"
in city directories in subsequent years.3
In 1944, the drug store went up for sale at an auction because Coleman was ill.4
Ben F. Friedman was listed as the proprietor in subsequent years. The name of the
pharmacy went back to just "West End Pharmacy".3
