Kilmartin's Pharmacy

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  Kilmartin's Pharmacy, Lovingston VA (1947-ca.1956) 1,2

Notes:
Joseph Hardy Kilmartin (1915-1973)3 moved around a lot before he settled into Lovingston VA.
At age 18, he accepted a postion with the Waverly Drug Company, in Waverly Virginia.4
At some point he worked as a pharmacist in Newport News VA, and later at the Montgomery Drug Company in South Hill. 5

He was called to active duty during WW-II, at the Norfolk Naval Hospital in 1941. 6
He received an honerable distcharge in 19457.

In 1947, he and his wife moved to Lovington VA.8
That same year he started the Kilmartin Drug Company in that city.1

The last mention I found of Kilmartin's Pharmacy was in 19562.
In later years, I see newspaper mentions of him being the president of the Lovingston Water Supply Company. I don't know if he had stopped being a pharmacist at that time, or if he ran that company in addition to being a pharmacist. His death record in 1973 listed him as a retired pharmacist.
