Notes:
William Bruce Penick (1868-1914)2 ran a drugstore in Lynchburg Virginia from 1900 to about 1912.1

Prior to owning his own drug store, he was a druggist for other stores. In 1901 he was the pharmacist for the newly opened Cabell & Chelf drug store in Richmond VA.3

The drugstore with his name appears in the 1900 Lynchburg City Directory, but the 1907 directory lists The Central Pharmacy at that same location. I don't know if that was a separate pharmacy, or just a different name for Penick's pharmacy, but in any case, Penick was the manager of that pharmacy.4

Starting in 1908, the city directories list The Penick Drug Company at the new location of 805 Main Street, with Penick as the president.1

On or about 1913, Penick moved out of Lynchburg and into Blacksburg VA, where he was working for the W.C. Ellet Drug Company. In 1914, while still living in Blacksburg, Penick passed away. 5
