R.S. Bernard

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  R.S. Bernard, Norfolk VA, (c.1835-c.1855) 1,2

Notes:
Robert Stith Bernard (1808-1855)2 was listed as a Norfolk druggist in a the 1850 US Census.
The earliest ad I could find for his "Bernard's remedy for cholera" was in 1835, where Alexandria Virginia druggist William Stabler listed it for sale at his drug store. 1
Besides Alexandria VA, I've found advertisements indicating his remedy for cholera was sold in Georgia and North Carolina, as well as other cities in Virginia.

Bernard died in September 1855, and his wife and one of his children died a few days after him, apparently of Yellow Fever3,4.
In later years, Bernard's son, Robert Bernard Jr, was listed as a druggist and physician in the Berkley section of Norfolk.5
