In his early years, his partner was
John W. Smith (ca.1837-1891)4,
but in 1868 Cannon took sole control of his drugstore business2.
The address changed from 210 to 420 Bute Street between 1896 and 1897.
This was not a move, it was just a re-numbering of the street addresses
(i.e. 210 became 420 in the renumbering scheme).
Douglas's son, John Randolf Cannon (1882-1959)5 was a pharmacist, and became a partner
starting in 1908, and then took over the business after Douglas passed away. By 1930, John had
left the drugstore business.1.
