Notes:
Someone sent me an email with the following information, which I have not yet had a chance to verify:
Joseph Carr was a private in the 12th Virginia Infantry (Confederate Army), whose regiment had six companies from Petersburg. Carr was severely wounded in 1862 at the Battle of Malvern Hill, and after the Civil War he became a pharmacist in Petersburg.
