O.P. Hare

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  O.P. Hare, Petersburg VA
O.P. Hare & Co., Petersburg VA
O.P. Hare Drug Co., Halifax St. near Market St., Petersburg VA (c.1920s)
  O.P. Hare Drug Co., 130 South Ave., Petersburg VA (c.1950s - c.1980s)

Notes:
The book "The Pill Rollers" says that the O.P. Hare Drug Company started in 1850. However an October 2, 1922 advertisement in the Richmond Times Dispatch claimed they had been in business over 50 years (1850 would have been 72 years earlier), so my guess is that Hare got started sometime closer to 1870.
The June 7, 1870 edition of the Richmond Whig newspaper said that O.P. Hare was issued a patent for a liniment. And the March 1st 1904 edition of the Richmond Times Dispatch had an ad for Hare's celebrated liniment, claming that it cures permanently: Rheumatism, Neuralgia, Cramp, Sore Throat, Colic, Cholera Morbus, Headache, Pains in the Limbs, Chilblains, Sprains, Bruises, and Fresh Cuts.
According to a label on one of the bottles below, the proprietor was C.L. Guthrie - this during a time they were at 130 South Avenue.
