Dr. Lisle Augustus Bilisory (c.1835-1918) was a Physician and a Druggist in Portsmouth VA^1,2,3.
He was listed as a physician, living in Portsmouth in the 1860 Census. The 1888 and 1889 city directories for Portsmouth list him as a Physician @ 302 Middle Street, under the business name "G W Howe & County". His home address was also 302 Middle Street, so that business name might be a mistake.
Later years, the city directories list his business as a drug store under his name at 314 High Street.
His son Dr. Alonso Augustus Bilisoly (1871-1938)⁴ was also a Doctor, and is listed as a partner in his fathers drugstore in the 1897-1902 city directories, where it lists the firm as "L. A. and A. A. Bilisoly". In 1903 it went back to being just "L.A. Bilisoly". The last year I see his drug store listed is 1911.
Lisle Augusts died in Portsmouth on 5-05-1918³. His brother, Antonio L. Bilisory, was also a druggist in Portsmouth.
