Notes:
John E. McClaugherty (born c.1889²) started a drug store in Roanoke VA about 1922. In 1935, he had 3 drug stores in Roanoke. My access to Roanoke City directories is limited to a handful of years, so the years of operation of his drug stores listed above are approximate¹.
One of the items below says "MAC'S DRUG STORE", so apparently it went by that nickname, although I didn't see that nickname in any of the city directories.

There was another McClaugherty's Drug Store at 1005 Williamson Road, starting about 1939. It was run by Walter Irvin McClaugherty¹. I don't know if he was related to John E. McClaugherty or not.

	This is a photo taken April 2017 showing a side-view of McClaugherty's pharmacy at 911 9th Street SE (the building was being worked on at the time). The sign says: McCLAUGHTERTY'S / PHARMACY / DIAL 9385
