Notes:
Charles Vanlew Bray (1894-1952)2 was born in West Point, and went the Medical College of Virginia. 3
He passed his pharmacy board examination in 1917.4
Later that year, his WWI draft card listed him as a pharmacist working for A.T. Hargrove & Son in West Point.

On or about 1919, he opened his own store.1
His initial partner was Jim Claytor, and later he was partnered with Dr. Alvah Hudson, who died in 1926. 3

Bray passed away in 1952. His store was purchased by R.P. Bailey, who had graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, School of Pharmacy in 1933, and had 19 years of experience in the retail drug business. 1
Later that year (1952), the name of the store was changed to the West Point Pharmacy.5

At some point, Brays' drug store became part of the Rexall chain of drug stores .
