Notes:
John Albert (1845-1917) was born in Bavaria, and came to Washington DC early in his life.3
He opened up a brewery at 2445 F Street NW Washington DC in 18702, although his brewery doesn't show up in city directories until 1875.

He advertised his lager beer brewery for years in the German newspaper "Washingtoner Journal". It would appear that he also sold beer from that brewery, as there are several newspaper mentions about him getting a liquor license, or being fined for selling liquor on Sunday.

He also opened a Saloon at 1720 Pennsylvania Avenue NW about 18815, and continued to operate it until about 18881.
I would presume he sold his beer at that Saloon.

In 1895 Edward F. Abner purchased Alberts brewery.4
In 1897, Abner took on Peter A. Drury as a partner and renamed the brewery Abner & Drury ,6 and later just "Abner-Drury".

After Albert sold his brewery he retired from brewing and moved to Michigan where he took up farming, and eventually moved to Toledo Ohio.3
