Fogarty & Coleman

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  Fogarty & Coleman, Alexandria VA (ca.1862-1864) 1,2
Fogarty, James, 171 Franklin Street, Alexandria VA (1864-ca.1871) 3,4

Notes:
James Fogerty was born in Ireland circa 18315.
The earliest newspaper mention of Fogerty & Coleman I could find was October 9, 1862, on page 3 of the Alexandria Gazette. They may have started their company before that.

Starting in 1864, there are tax records for James Fogerty's mineral water establishment without Mr. Coleman, so presumably that's the year they parted ways3. The Civil War was going on during that time, but whether or not it had anything to do with the break up is unknown.
Fogerty continued to bottle soda and beer on his own, until sometime on or after 1871, as that's the last year I could find him listed in any city directory for Alexandria.4

Bottles:

fogarty_01 book # 262
This is a 7" aqua blob top embossed:
front: FOGARTY & COLEMAN / ALEXANDRIA VA.
rear: THIS BOTTLE / IS NEVER SOLD
fogarty_02 book # 263
This is like the bottle above, except the "& COLEMAN" letters are missing. Presumably those letters in the bottle mold were "peened out" with a hammer. It is a badly-cracked, 7" aqua blob top embossed:
front: FOGARTY / ALEXANDRIA VA.
rear: THIS BOTTLE / IS NEVER SOLD
