Notes:
 William Zanner was born in Bavaria on February 2, 1825. He came to America in 1852. He moved from Baltimore to Washington DC in 1863.2
The city diretories between 1871 and 1881 list his brewery at either 524, 526, or both 524/526 4½ Street SW. But the residential section of the 1873 directory said his brewery was at 524 and his home was at 526.
William passed away on April 24, 19112.
