Notes:
Magnus Muse Lewis (1864-1937)3 started a drug store at 829 Caroline Street in 18851.
He moved his drugstore to 301 William Sreet in 19172.
That's the same address as the Johnston & Pearson drug store, so presumably he took over that building.

He had 2 sons: Charles Henry Lewis (1900-1966)4, and Magnus Muse Lewis Jr. (1896-1953)5. Both his sons were listed in the 1940 US Census as drug store owners in Fredericksburg, so they apparently one or both of them took over their father's store, and possibly a 2nd store.

In 1944, a second store showed up in the directories, this one at 415 William street. The 1953 city directory indicates it was run by his Magnus Jr. That's the last year it appears in directories, as the next directory (1955) only lists the store at 301 William Street.
