Notes:
Charles Ellis Hall (1887-1961)3 entered the drug business in Covington VA in 1905. In 1910, he studied pharmacy at the College of Medicine at Richmond University. He was a veteran in WWI, and in 1919, he moved to Lynchburg and opened the College Hill Drug Store. Later he opened the Hall's Drug Store at the same location (so it may have just been a name change). He sold the Hall's Pharmacy in 1945. 2

Hall continued a part-time practice in Charlottesville, and later ended up in Amherst VA, at the Amherst Pharmacy. He retired in February of 1961 due to health issues. 2
