According to wikipedia, "Buckroe", sometimes spelled "Buck Roe", was a neighborhood near Phoebus, although the addresss of the Buckroe Pharmacy is slightly outside of the modern area known as the "Buckroe Beach".

The 1904 city directory listed George J. Holman's drug store at 14 S Mallory Street in Phoebus. Starting in 1905, the Buckroe Pharmacy was listed at that address, and Holman was listed as a manager of the store. 3

In 1906, Mr. W.T. Buchanan brought a lawsuit against the Buckroe Pharmacy, whose proprietors at the time were George Congdon and George Holman. It seems that Congdon & Holman accused Buchanan, who was working at the Buckroe Pharmacy at the time, of pocketing 50 cents that a customer paid for a bottle of medicine. The charges were dismissed, but Buchanan felt his reputation had been damaged. 2

The last year the Buckroe pharmacy appeared in city directories was 1917. After that, Clarence A. Cleveland's (1892-1959)4 drug store was listed at that addresss. 1
