    Faulkner
John William Faulkner (1843-1894)2 was teamed with E.A. Craighill
as early as 1871, owning the Faulkner & Craighill drugstore in Lynchburg VA3.
They stayed together until about 18894, after which time they each ran
separate drug stores1.
The 1890 Lynchburg city directory lists Faulkner's new partner as
J. Owen Hanvey.
They stayed together until Faulkner's death in 1894, after which time Hanvey had
his own Lynchburg drug store. .
    Craighill
Dr Edward Addison Craighill Sr (1840-1923)5
was a 33rd degree Mason, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1861, and
was a druggist in Lynchburg6.
Edward is the brother of George P. Craighill7
Edward served in the Civil War. A wayside sign at the Ben Lamond Pringle House Hospital site
in Manasas Virginia says "A medical attendant, E.A. Craighill (later in charge of Lynchburg's
Confederate hospitals), was one of many who took care of the large number of wounded."
Edward teamed with J. Paul Jones in 1907. After Edward's death in 1923, Jones continued
the drug store, keeping the same name Craighill & Jones, until about 18501.
